Future-oriented investment
As the market leader for high-quality, technically sophisticated plastics, swissplast® is making this investment to ensure that large-area high-tech thermoforming solutions can be produced. With the Geiss T9 – 3000, the company will be able to produce plastic parts with dimensions of 3000 x 1500 x 620mm and a material thickness of 1.5 to 10mm. Among many other applications, interior and exterior paneling for vehicles in the caravan industry and body parts for electric vehicles are areas of application.

New technologies increase energy efficiency
As a CO2 neutral company, swissplast® is of course also very concerned about energy efficiency. The new thermoforming machine is equipped with halogen spotlight technology. This process allows an energy saving of 30 to 45 % compared to alternative processes (according to manufacturer information).
